Holmes and Watson crouched behind the barrels, revolvers drawn, listening to the gang members chattering among themselves. Suddenly one loud voice rang out, “Lads, listen! What’s that?”

Watson sighed and Holmes snarled. They had just enough time to rise from behind the barrels to see their quarries take off down the alley, shouting, “Run! It’s the ominous music of Sherlock Holmes!”

If he hadn’t been so annoyed, Watson would have chuckled at that. As it was, he merely sighed again and put away his gun.

Holmes was less reticent. “I told you having a theme song was a bad idea!”
