Whatever else Mycroft may or may not be, he was absolutely a great kisser. Perfect amount of pressure, perfect combination of tenderness and passion, perfect control of his tongue against Joan’s.

 

He will try to bed you.

 

Sherlock’s words kept intruding despite her attempts to forget them. They gave her an unsettling sense of being manipulated, nothing but a pawn between the two brothers and their unresolved hostility. But there were always two sides to every story and Mycroft had been nothing but gracious to her and to Sherlock since their arrival.

 

Besides, as Sherlock had accurately and humiliatingly deduced, Joan hadn’t had sex in a very long time. Manipulated or not, she was enjoying herself – and Mycroft – too much to want to stop now.

Thanks! I've never been able to really get Watson's motives behind sleeping with Mycroft. I'm still not sure I believe my own explanation.
